The Role As a member of the technical services team, you will report to the Program Manager, Cigar Lake in the Saskatoon office. You will be responsible for leadership and quality execution of Cameco projects to ensure company goals and business objectives are achieved.
In this role, you will: Provide 'Second-in-Command' leadership for teams executing projects for the Cigar Lake Operation, supporting the Program Manager Lead, oversee and directly manage projects that may include construction of earthworks, pipelines, and pumping stations for ground freezing, construction of underground mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation infrastructure to support mining, and other projects as needed to support Cameco's objectives. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, operations, team members, and other key stakeholders Work with subject matter experts and ensure appropriate utilization to bring value and innovation to projects Ensure that project risks are adequately identified, addressed, and communicated to the leadership team Required: A minimum of 10 years of combined work experience in progressive project management roles in a mining or heavy industrial setting Experience in executing all stages of the project lifecycle (i.e. initiation, planning and estimating, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, monitoring & controlling, etc.) to deliver green- and brownfield industrial projects Diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
