The Role Cameco is looking for a motivated, team-oriented professional who values integrity, safety and the environment and strives to incorporate those values into their everyday achievements. As a contracts specialist, you will plan and execute RFX processes required in the execution of capital expenditure projects. In this role, you will: Working closely with project management teams, you will lead the development and formation of contracts utilizing procurement best practices while ensuring contract development process and procedures are followed.Collaborating with end users to determine sourcing and contracting strategies, developing and initiating requests for information, quotations, and proposals.Evaluating proposals, completing award recommendations, contract conformance and execution in compliance with Cameco's policies, standards and codes.Liaising with internal legal counsel. Required: Bachelor's degree in commerce, law or engineering.A minimum of three to five years of experience, specifically in supply chain management.Experience in negotiating, developing, and executing contracts for a variety of goods and services in a capital project environment.Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.Travel to Ontario and northern mine sites may be required. Recommended: A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation.Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system
