About Us McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world's largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role: In this role, you will: Operate raisebore/longhole drills and all associated equipment.Co-ordinate moving, set-up, teardown, and placements of raisebore/longhole drilling equipment and drills.Assist in the installation and removal of bits and reamers.Required: Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a raisebore/longhole operator in a mining environment.Minimum of 2 years underground work experience.Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills.Recommended: Experience in longhole drilling and blasting.Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan Blasting certificate.Ability to operate small pieces of equipment (skid steer).Conditions of Employment: Pre-Employment Substance Test.This position is eligible for the employee referral bonus. Successful candidates for all positions that will involve work at Safety Sensitive Sites or in Safety Sensitive Positions must take and pass a Substance Test, which includes marijuana, as a condition of employment.
