About Us Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. Utilities around the world rely on our nuclear fuel products to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco's corporate office is based in Saskatoon. We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.
The Role As a member of the technical services team, you will report to the Program Manager, Technical Services. We are looking for a strong and dynamic team leader to ensure all aspects of project planning and execution meet the established requirements with respect to cost, schedule, scope, quality, health, safety and environment. Projects are in various stages, ranging from concept/framing through to implementation. Representative projects include both greenfield projects as well as brownfield expansions or modifications to existing facilities.
In this role, you will: be responsible for the direct hands-on leadership and quality execution of projects to ensure company goals and business objectives are achievedbe responsible for the team's efficiency, productivity and compliance with Cameco and industry standardsmanage internal and external stakeholder relationships, identify and secure resources, report on project status to management, facilitate solutions, manage project risk, and promote a culture consistent with Cameco valuesRequired: Diploma or bachelor's degree in a related fieldA minimum of six to ten years of combined work experience in progressive project management roles in a manufacturing or industrial settingExperience with leading studies for greenfield/brownfield projects in an industrial mining settingExperience with managing detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning stagesAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, build trust and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of personnelPMP, trade certification and/or professional engineering designation, or the ability to obtain the relevant certificationMobility to follow projects to the jobsite and facilitate construction and commissioning activities; moderate travel to our northern Saskatchewan facilities is required.Recommended: Experience with brownfield expansions/modifications to existing facilitiesExperience in technical field or trades with extensive project / construction management focusExperience with Microsoft Project and SAP/S4 or equivalent systemsConditions of Employment: Substance TestCameco is proud to offer a competitive total reward package which includes: Competitive compensation program with base and variable payFlexible health, drug, dental, and vision plan with a health spending and personal spending accountFixed benefits including employee and dependant life, AD&D, disability benefits and paid vacation leaveEmployee & Family Assistance ProgramsRRSP and RPP matching programRelocation costsCameco is an employment equity employer and aims to achieve gender parity, and as such, preference will be given to qualified members of equity groups.
