Cameco welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences to apply.Position and ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the design engineering team, you are responsible for the inspection and integrity of safety related pressure retaining components essential to the safe operation of the facility ensuring the health and safety of employees as well as protection of the environment. You are responsible for material recommendations, CAN/CGSB 48.9712 related non-destructive examinations, as well as inspection of lifting devices, fall protection equipment, and receipt inspection of equipment. You are responsible for welding procedure qualifications, specifications and designated as the welding supervisor for the purposes of ASME Section IX, QG-106. You also act as a liaison with regulators such as the CNSC and TSSA.You oversee development, planning, scheduling and supervision of the NDE technicians and implementation of the inspection activities including recommendations arising from these activities.Education and QualificationsRequirements of the position:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineeringLicensed professional engineer in the province of OntarioMinimum of five years of experienceSuperior people and problem solving skillsCommitted to continuous improvementKnowledge of applicable ASME, CWB, TSSA and CSA regulations and standardsAssets:CGSB 48.7912 certification in radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic inspection methodsFailure analysis experienceKnowledge of welding fundamentals and inspectionsKnowledge of SAPApplicants with lesser qualifications may be considered at an appropriate level, if fully qualified applicants do not apply.Safety Sensitive PositionJob ID: 39805Posted: August 31, 2024Posting end date: September 21, 2024The physical and psychological safety of our employees is a top priority at Cameco.
