About Us Cigar Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world's highest-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at Cigar Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance, the Materials Management Coordinator will be committed to helping Cigar Lake achieve reliability excellence.
In this role, you will: Be responsible for developing and implementing the materials management strategy including job kitting, point-of-use, free issue, storage optimization and material delivery Lead the materials management teams to ensure they deliver appropriate service levels to the sites safely and effectively, including general site shipping/receiving as well as maintenance and production support Ensure the warehouse goals and KPIs are met, along with compliance to all regulations including CNSC, SMOE and Transport Canada Provide coaching, guidance and direction to the team members and lead continuous improvement activities Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field OR A valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson ticket Minimum of eight years of experience in an industrial setting Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered Previous supervisory and inventory management experience Experience with a computer maintenance management system such as SAP Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft Recommended: Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate Experience in an inventory optimization project Experience in establishing a free-issue and point-of-use materials program Conditions of Employment: Substance test Cameco is proud to offer a competitive total reward package which includes: Competitive compensation program with base and variable pay Flexible health, drug, dental, and vision plan with a health spending and personal spending account Fixed benefits including employee and dependant life, AD&D, disability benefits and paid vacation leave Employee & Family Assistance Programs RRSP and RPP matching program Relocation costs Cameco is an employment equity employer and aims to achieve gender parity, and as such, preference will be given to qualified members of equity groups.
