First Stage Researcher (R1) (Up to the point of PhD)
About The purpose of this call is to offer 4-year employment contracts for doctoral training, under the pre-doctoral contract modality for the development of research tasks within the scope of a specific and novel project. This is to enable pre-doctoral research staff in training to carry out a doctoral thesis associated with a research project.
This call finances the following items: the cost of recruitment, including the cost of compensation at the end of the contract, the costs of stays in R&D centres, and the costs of enrolment in doctoral studies.
The minimum salary remuneration for pre-doctoral research staff in training will be as follows: 18,180.60 euros gross per year for the first year, 23,520.00 euros gross per year for the second and third years, and 24,350.00 euros gross per year for the fourth year. Extraordinary payments shall be paid pro rata monthly.
Stays may be carried out in other R&D centres, public or private, including companies, provided that the centres are located in a different locality from where the activity is carried out. Stays must have a minimum duration of one month uninterruptedly.
The amounts for board and lodging will be limited to 1,500 euros per month (50 euros/day) for stays in national R&D centres, and 1,950 euros per month (65 euros/day) for stays in foreign R&D centres.
Minimum Requirements This call is intended for the recruitment of university graduates who meet the following requirements:
To be admitted or enrolled in an official doctoral programme at the University of Valladolid for the academic year 2024-2025.
Applicants who meet any of the following circumstances may not apply:
Have started their pre-doctoral training with funding from other grants.
Hold a PhD degree from any Spanish or foreign university.
Have held a pre-doctoral contract for more than 12 months prior to the submission of the application.
At the start date of the contract, it is essential to be enrolled in a full-time doctoral programme at UVa, which must be maintained throughout the duration of the pre-doctoral period.
Research personnel in training must be previously registered in the RUS (Unified Register of Applicants), available at the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
