.Job Description and RequirementsThis position requires a highly motivated and experienced CAD / Software Engineer to join the Design Automation Team. This is a dual role that includes software development and support of the design environment for the mixed-signal circuit design teams. The objective is to accelerate design activities and improve the quality of results through automation across the entire R&D organization.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and applies Software Engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problemsAuthors software and/or scripts to automate design tasks, flows, and processesPlans technical projects in the design and development of application softwareWork on team-oriented or task-oriented projectsLearn, develop, troubleshoot, or debug design environment and flows for the development of integrated circuitsDevelop routines and utility programs to QA common CAD setupSupport a global design team, debug CAD environment setup issues or configure common CAD environment for design flowsNetworks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertiseKey QualificationsBS or MS degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering or similar4 / 6+ years of industry direct related experience.Good analysis and problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise good judgmentStrong UNIX/Linux user knowledge and skillsProficiency & prior experience developing software in Python, PERL, TCL, Shell scripting, Git, PerforceFamiliar with and experienced in test-driven development, unit testing, functional testingHas a strong desire to learn and explore new technologiesDemonstrates good investigation and problem-solving skillsBuilds productive internal/external working relationshipsExecutes projects from start to completionProficiency with multiple programming languages & revision control tools & methodsNice to have Requirements:Good knowledge of VLSI domain like familiarity with mask design (i.E. layout), timing analysis, ERC, DRC, LVS, EM, IR, etcCustom Designer EDA tool usageExperience in data management and compute grid scheduling tools (e.G.
