We are currently looking for a Manager Global Events in Madrid, Spain.
In this role you will be responsible for designing a Global Event program to be deployed in alignment with strategic plans, achieving cost optimization targets, process streamlining while setting stringent governance models and costs control framework.
Your Responsibilities:Research industry trends to identify ways to optimize cost per attendee.Build key operational and strategic decisions with independent and data-driven insights to ensure process streamlining.Establish demand management process, including demand collection, forecasting and monitoring, providing relevant inputs to Finance within OB/RF cycles etc.Partner with Travel team to materialize value for money: get discounts, create partnerships with venues/airlines, define best places to meet.Develop a pool of global service providers to support an end-to-end strategic event management program.Define & govern the Operating Model with partnering functions: rules of engagement with Security & Market Safety, Procurement, Treasury/T&E.Develop Events archetypes to be replicated.Define & implement a single database to enable efficient analysis based on critical metrics aimed to set "should cost" for Budget, conduct cost benchmarking, and monitor the pricing structures.Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate supplier performance and the success of individual events.Engage with the relevant partners to develop relationships, establish credibility and lock early involvement.Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with internal customers: Global functions, Regions and Key affiliates to co-create costs category strategies and jointly deploy them.Build an effective governance framework with key suppliers including guidelines, standardized processes, forms and formats.Manage effectively remote and direct teams to develop CCMO professionals.Ensure setting clear objectives, regularly monitoring progress and reviewing achievements.Regularly assess training needs and provide development opportunities.What we're looking for:+10 years' experience in events (MICE) in multiple countries.Proven experience working inside/in close collaboration with events agencies.Master the Business travel category.Extraordinary communication capabilities in English, both oral & written.Focus on Customer Centricity – Strategic thinking.Thrive to be agile and flexible to deliver faster.Problem-solving skills.Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity.What we offer:Our success depends on the people who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
