The Cimpress privacy team is seeking an entrepreneurial, collaborative privacy leader to join our team.
Cimpress operates a centralized technology platform that supports the e-commerce, analytics, and fulfillment work of its e-commerce businesses across five continents.
You will manage a group of attorneys to develop and maintain a comprehensive privacy compliance program for Cimpress and assist privacy leaders at businesses in the Cimpress portfolio in meeting their data protection obligations.
You will need to be comfortable both developing and executing against a strategic direction and getting involved in operational tasks.
We are looking for a highly motivated colleague to join a global team at a growing, data-driven e-commerce company.
This is a new position that will play a key leadership role on the privacy team and reports to the Chief Security and Privacy Officer.What You Will Do :Lead a team of privacy lawyers to prioritize projects based on potential risks and opportunities and in close alignment with Cimpress' business goals.Mentor and empower junior team members and manage workloads in conjunction with the privacy program manager.Partner closely with the technology, analytics, legal, and security teams on data protection initiatives while still empowering the team to deliver for our customers.Help establish and improve data protection governance processes and documentation and lead the development of global privacy standards for Cimpress business units.Advise executive leaders on privacy risks and mitigation strategies that align with technology constraints and business goals.Provide strategic support to privacy leaders across the Cimpress portfolio of businesses.Your Qualifications :Licensed attorney with 6+ years of data protection experience and some background with e-commerce companies, SaaS platforms or both.Strong expertise in privacy regulation and compliance strategies in North America and the European Union.Experience managing and mentoring other attorneys.The ability to explain sophisticated legal issues and requirements clearly and concisely to a non-legal audience.Comfortable in a fluid, decentralized work environment with a focus on agile software development.Nice to Have :CIPP certification.Exposure to data protection issues in jurisdictions other than North America or the European Union, particularly India, Australia, and China.Why You'll Love Working Here : Being at Cimpress means that you don't see work as just a building, a desk or a manufacturing floor.
