Offer DescriptionMission: To contribute to the research and development of state-of-the-art photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for quantum key distribution in continuous variables (CV-QKD) in collaboration with ICFO and LuxQuanta Technologies.
Functions to be developed:Participate in the research and development of advanced devices for photonic integration in quantum key distribution.Perform practical characterization of PICs and supervise related processes.Collaborate with software, hardware and manufacturing teams to develop complete QKD systems.Contribute to leading European projects in photonics and quantum technologies.Knowledge Required:PIC platforms and the design process for integrated photonic systems.Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs).Spoken, read and written Catalan, Spanish and English.Technical Skills:Quantum key distribution (CV-QKD).PIC measurement automation.Photonic device characterization.Specific Requirements:Organizational SkillsMultidisciplinary teamwork.R&D project management.Work Experience:In the use of laboratory equipment and the automation of measurements for the characterization of PICs.In the design and characterization of photonic integrated circuits (PICs).In the use of laboratory equipment for testing optoelectronic devices.A history of scientific publications in the field of photonic circuits applied to telecommunications or quantum technologies.Experience in functions similar to those described, particularly in the development of research activities in both academic and industrial environments, will be valued.Languages:CATALAN: ExcellentENGLISH: ExcellentSPANISH: ExcellentYears of Research Experience:4 - 10
Additional Information:42.284,48€/per year (full-time)

Assessment Criteria:The CVs will be assessed according to the following general criteria: The maximum score for the candidates who accomplish all the eligibility criteria stated in the job offer will be 10 points.
