As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Job DescriptionWe are seeking individuals who aspire to move into data science but already have significant Excel capability and exposure to working in Construction or Engineering, using Excel to develop tools that improve the efficiency of existing processes. The successful candidate will provide business analysis expertise for our clients.Minimum 5 years' experience in Data Analysis.Considerable experience in developing software tools to improve the efficiency of existing processes using the Microsoft stack of products, primarily in Excel (VBA is essential).Understanding of project and program delivery in the built environment, ideally in the context of a large utility.Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and ideally some consultancy experience.Other ResponsibilitiesPreparing presentations and other materials for client pitches.Inputting key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database tools.QualificationsThis role will require good analytic and strong numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations. Preferred skills include:Bachelor's/Master's Degree in an analytic subject (e.g., Math, Geography, Engineering, Economics).A Level Math and/or Computing.Business Analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA.An understanding of different project delivery methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile).Experience with modeling and diagramming applications (e.g., Visio, Lucid Chart).Problem-solving skills.Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and engage comfortably with clients, eliciting requirements from non-technical stakeholders. We are looking for individuals with excellent data-focused computing skills and the desire to learn and apply these on major projects and programs. As a minimum, we look for those with first-class Excel capability, Power BI (including DAX), and ideally SQL and/or Python.
