Enabling a strategic design and efficient roll-out of our international policy set-ups is essential to Descartes' growth and central to our development.
The role could be held from Madrid or Paris.
As an International Insurance Project Lead, your roadmap will be 3-fold:OPERATIONALManage international policy issuance worldwide, across all branches and setups - from Wildfire to Cyclone and Cyber, from Chile to New Zealand and from Excess and Surplus to multi-reinsured local policies.
Follow-up on premium payment, either directly or through our partners.
Coordinate complex program deployments with other departments, in particular Finance (trust account openings for instance), Legal (bespoke agreements for instance) and Underwriting (multi-geography programs involving precise premium splits per region for instance).NEGOTIATIONFind new partners to support our geographic expansion and our growing product range – in particular by leveraging local networks.
Constant contact with fronting partners to negotiate fronting conditions.REGULATORYBecome the center of expertise for international tax rates, tariff requirements, filed wording obligations, compulsory local retentions, licenses, and all aspects related to international insurance compliance.
Support business by providing reliable information prior to offering cover to international clients.
Draft, coordinate and approve cooperation agreements between fronting companies and Descartes.You will report to the COO.ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSMasters degree from Business school or Law school.
Minimum 3 years of experience in an international position.
