Role Overview : As an Advanced Analytics Analyst, you will leverage your understanding of complex data analysis and modeling to assist project teams in extracting insight from their data.
Working under the direction of your team members, this role supports hypothesis generation and testing, exploratory analysis, data preparation for statistical modelling/machine learning/deep learning, building machine learning or deep learning models and model interpretations.
Key Role Responsibilities Day-to-day you will: Support project teams in developing solutions for Avanade's clients driven by exploratory data analysis.
Conduct data analyses tests in-line with agreed-upon strategies.
Communicate analysis results and recommendations to team members and clients.
Provide input and guidance on data visualization techniques and opportunities and how model results can be visualized.
Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements Your technical and non-technical skills include: Experience with at least one key analytics tool (e.g., R, Revolution R, Python, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik view) [HIRING MANAGER SPECIFIC].
Strong knowledge of Python and the library ecosystem is preferred.
Experience with SQL for manipulating and building data sets is preferred.
Knowledgeable in data mining, analysis and modeling of large scale, complex data sets.
Knowledgeable in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting, multivariate testing (A/B testing), and optimization algorithms.
Capable of explaining complex analytical methodologies and concepts in non-technical language.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Experience with Power Point to present model results and interpretations is preferred.
Preferred Certifications Microsoft Professional Program for Data Science.
Preferred Education Background You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Operations Research, Economics/Econometrics, Engineering or another relevant quantitative field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will also suffice.
Preferred Years of Work Experience You likely have some relevant work experience, professional or through coursework, preferred.
