Title: UABOS Spain LN: Architect
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEmployee serves within the Engineering Design Section (CEND) at Moron Air Base. Responsible for the effective management of the CEN design and construction projects as a Project Architect. Performs engineering and planning to support project requirements IAW U.S. Air Force standards. Secondary role as the Installation Architect.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTSReports directly to the Chief of Engineering or assigned supervisor. Manages and updates NexGenIT software (Tririga) database or any successor IT system or platform.
Provides Project Management to execution of contracts such as construction contracts, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts, simplified acquisition of base engineer requirements, multiple award construction contracts (MACC), and service contracts to execute facility requirements.
Prepares, updates, and maintains an annual Architectural Compatibility Guide (ACG) (RR), and ensures design efforts comply with the requirements of the ACG. Performs engineering and planning to include development, maintenance, and delivery of short, medium, and long-term planning for installation complexes to inform the investment planning process as well as the space planning function to optimize space utilization in current and future plans.
Develops contracting packages and oversees execution of U.S. funded project requirements and maintenance sub-contracts. Collaborates with other engineers to develop multi-discipline projects (i.e., civil, mechanical, electrical, architectural, etc.). Supports the development and maintenance of required Activity Management Plans (AMPs) and the Base Comprehensive Activity Management Plan (BCAMP).
Provides Civil Engineering support for the Airfield Operations Certification Inspection (AOCI) inspection IAW U.S. Air Force standards. Plans and programs infrastructure studies IAW all applicable AFIs and MAJCOM guidance.
Assists AFCEC and the Operations Flight with facility and infrastructure team assessments, ensuring requirements are properly identified, captured, and adjusts and validates pre-existing SMS-defined life cycle requirements shall be adjusted and validated. Oversees portfolio optimization and integrates all of the sub-AMP activity requirements, identifying risk to mission and airmen, and incorporating IDP inputs to create smart investment programs across consolidation/demo, SRM, etc.
Provides design services in support of facility and infrastructure construction and renovation projects. Manages a design program for in-house, Architectural and Engineering (A&E), and/or third-party designs. Completes project designs within the time period established by the USAF and HQ USAFE.
