Held is actively seeking a Consultant / Senior Consultant for its Construction Advisory Team, specializing in claims and construction dispute resolution, based in Madrid.
This position is for a professional who has a minimum of 5 years experience working in a leading international contracting organisation or an owner organisation with an international project portfolio.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and/or review claims in construction and engineering projects;Implement and develop contract management processes in projects;Take part in preparation of expert witness reports;Select appropriate analysis methodologies with guidance of manager, assist in commission reviews and identifying claim strategy;Demonstrate ability to deliver concise and compelling event chronologies, draft completed sections of Claim Reports;Review facts, correspondence, and project control records to prepare quantifications of claims;Utilise appropriate structure and format of Report;Peer review, critique and edit work involved in commission;Provide real-time feedback on work product and other activities to allocated resources and upstream to manager, ensure allocated Commission elements are completed on time and on budget.Required qualifications/experienceA recognized undergraduate degree in engineering, quantity surveying, construction management or similar from a leading university;Minimum 3-10 years on-site or project construction experience with engineering or construction firms, or a construction claim/dispute firm;Fluent in Spanish and English;Ability to sporadically travel;Familiarity with claims and/or expert witness work, or exposure to arbitration processes is preferred.J.S.
