MISSION To lead procurement processes regarding the construction phase of wind and solar projects: civil and electrical works (BOP/BOS), Engineering Services, and other CAPEX services and supplies.
To participate in all stages of the project - from needs identification until entering contracts - being involved in multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for each project according to the target goals of the company.
ACCOUNTABILITIES Delivering high-level cost savings through negotiation and realization of cost reduction projects.
Driving appropriate commercial relationships with suppliers, aiming to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership that meets business goals, supported by a culture of continuous improvement with cost & performance benchmarks in use.
Carrying out and leading RFI/RFP processes, preparing commercial specifications, centralizing communication with stakeholders, leading negotiations, assessments, and awarding, managing contract negotiations until closure, reporting, and obtaining company approvals.
Providing commercial analysis to support the technical areas in offer analysis: receiving, tabulating proposals, and accomplishing commercial assessments, challenging technical assessments to ensure proposal homogeneity, supporting the technical department in scope optimization through market inputs, reviewing different alternatives proposed by suppliers to improve scope and price, ensuring a competitive process and monitoring the preparation of the purchase order following the indication of the Responsible.
Identifying and implementing significant cost savings opportunities.
Identifying procurement risks, opportunities, and market forces to avoid potential damage and exploit potential opportunities through risk and change management.
Performing Supplier Management, particularly Supplier Development to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure an optimum supply chain.
Managing contracts: negotiating contracts to obtain the most favorable conditions and coordinating this process with the different departments involved (development, legal, risk, engineering, construction).
Providing support in the improvement and adaptation of contracts (BOP/BOS, installation, new services, etc.)
according to the standards of EDPR, project specifications, and conditions for different geographies in EDPR, negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure all terms and conditions required by EDPR are met.
Monitoring market conditions to ensure that all terms and conditions are aligned with the current market situation (workshops/benchmarking), searching for new suppliers to widen the range of proposals and activate current suppliers, especially in new geographies, to achieve reductions in prices for different materials and services contracted against historical developed data and received offers.
Proposing new frame contracts based on consumption analysis and managing previous frame contracts for Engineering, Energy Assessment, Construction, Environment, etc., defining the contract strategy, deadlines, and carrying out the monitoring of such contracts (i.e., rappel calculation, etc.)
ensuring effective communication between departments and gathering and distributing necessary information.
Ensuring the alignment of the EDPR Europe purchasing policy with the strategic guidelines set by EDP and EDPR and generating necessary reporting and statistics.
Developing and maintaining formal and fluent communication with business areas, playing a pivotal role and involving as required other EDPR areas such as Legal, Business Development, Technical Department, etc.
Managing, when necessary, the relation with external clients (as partners) in terms of supply chain and procurement responsibilities, leveraging and establishing relationships.
