We are looking for a passionate Senior 3D Environment Artist to bring their skills to our Dungeons & Dragons PC/Console video game project. This innovative project blends Action-RPG/Survival mechanics with the unique elements of life simulation games to redefine the genre and capture the imagination of gamers around the world.ResponsibilitiesCreate standalone and modular Environment assets varying in scale and complexity.Model assets using reference photographs and Concept Art materials.Work with the Lead 3D Environment Artist to create high-quality environments in keeping with the project's visual direction.Collaborate with other disciplines such as Level Design, Lighting, VFX and Tech Art in crafting a variety of biomes, night/day cycles, and weather conditions.Produce work within performance specifications under strict deadlines.Review and implement your work using the game editor (Unity).Troubleshoot asset errors and address creative feedback.Mentor Intermediate and Junior 3D Environment Artists.Document and communicate workflow and best practices to support consistency across the 3D Environment Art Team.Minimum Requirements+6 years of experience as an Environment ArtistHigh-quality portfolio of gamedev-relevant 3D Environment Art, preferably with an emphasis on stylization.Able to interpret and follow reference material to create clean, detailed, and accurate 3D environments and sets.An excellent understanding of industry-leading game engines such as Unity or Unreal. (Unity experience is a desired plus.)A mixture of hard surface and foliage asset modeling skills.A strong understanding of shape, form, and composition.A keen eye for landscape, cityscapes, town planning, and geography.An understanding of the impact of Environment Art on Level Design.Set dressing and beautification pass experience.Proven abilities in optimized 3D asset creation.Proficiency with industry-standard modeling tools such as 3DSMAX, Maya, Blender, Zbrush, and texture/material authoring tools such as Photoshop and Substance.Solid experience with PBR workflows
