.DESCRIPTIONDeustoTech – Deusto Institute of Technology is the technological research center of the University of Deusto, located on the Bilbao campus, whose mission is to promote research, training and knowledge transfer at the service of society and industry.
We are looking for a researcher with proven experience in the area of Artificial Intelligence to join a European research project in the field of food waste, collaborating with prestigious partners, and contributing significantly to scientific progress in this area.The main objective of this research position is to make progress in the knowledge about the food waste problem by means of the development of data-driven models in order to identify behavioral patterns, analyze causes, and evaluate the efficiency of food loss and waste prevention strategies in terms of sustainability.TASKSData analytics for the diagnosis of food waste generation patternsDesign and development of models based on machine learning and system dynamics for the analysis of the impact of food waste prevention strategiesLeading data collection and model design by coordinating multidisciplinary and international work teamsPublishing in high impact journals (WoS and SJR) along with group membersWorking in competitive projects (Basque Government, Spanish Government, Horizon Europe...)Submitting competitive research proposalsMentoring of undergraduate and graduate studentsProvide support to the research team in the drafting of technical, dissemination and administrative reports on the TONOWASTE projectWE OFFERFull-time incorporation in the first quarter of 2025, with economic conditions commensurate with the experience and knowledge provided by the candidates.
