Together with our clients, we're helping to deliver the energy transition globally.We are in search of a Graduate Electrical Engineer to support our team of engineers with designing, analysing, and assessing medium and high-voltage substations for power generation projects, specifically renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in substation engineering and electrical engineering principles. In this role you will support to assess safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs implementation of substations.This is a permanent role and will offer excellent prospects for career development involving different power generation technologies, mainly renewable energy projects.Your other responsibilities will include:Primary plant design and layouts for HV substations; Equipment specifications for HV Plant and ancillary equipment; Providing engineering design input to major electrical power projects from feasibility/front end engineering stages to detailed design/site construction monitoring and commissioning; Project management and coordination with clients and our design teams within Mott MacDonald including civil, structural, environmental, survey/geotechnical, transport, protection and control and CAD/BIM team; Delivering projects in new technologies e.G. energy storage, HVDC systems, smart grid solutions, waste to energy etc; Provide professional services to clients both Nationally and Internationally.Candidate SpecificationWe are looking for committed and motivated graduates with a genuine passion and a desire to make a difference in the world.
