Introduction to the role:Through partnership with Clinical Trial programs across three therapeutic areas, our role within Business Support contributes to building strong cross-functional relationships to help accelerate AstraZeneca's portfolio delivery. We provide support to ensure these groups can deliver fast, efficient, ethical, and sustainable clinical trials. Working within this exciting Clinical Trial community gives this team visibility of how AstraZeneca pushes the boundaries of science in pursuit of helping our patients.
This full-time position, reporting to the Senior Business Support Coordinator/Team Leader, requires proactivity and collaboration, working together with the other coordinators in the function and more broadly within Biopharmaceuticals R&D.
Accountabilities:Provide support to Executive and Senior directors, managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and events, and scheduling complicated travel in line with AZ policy.Work collaboratively with Business Support colleagues to deliver a lean, consistent, and professional global support service, including knowledge sharing and training within the team.Become an expert in using technology to efficiently complete tasks and propose technology-based solutions.Support projects under general guidance ensuring delivery of project outputs according to plan, reviewing and refining plans as necessary.Independently plan, organize, and schedule own workload, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time while using and developing best practices.Point of contact for ClinOps new joiners/visitors to the office.Essential Skills/Experience:Significant PA experience.Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English language.Experience in working in a fast-paced, cross-functional global environment.Strong written and verbal communication and networking skills.Proficiency working with Microsoft Office suite, and virtual meeting technologies.Excellent time management skills.Strong organizational, forward-planning, and stakeholder management abilities.A high degree of personal credibility and professionalism when interfacing with organizations internal and external to AZ.Desirable Skills/Experience:Experience of working in a pharmaceutical or healthcare organization.Are you interested in working at AZ?
