Under general direction, the Business Development Specialist coordinates with UL's larger customers over specific industries. Assists in carrying out pre-determined strategies with industry leads to generate revenue growth and achieve booking goals. Builds and maintains strong client relationships and participates in customer meetings to ensure customer satisfaction. Promotes the organization's capabilities to clients and identifies target opportunities to be forwarded to account managers in order to drive a foundation of industry growth for UL.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide assistance to management on potential business needs leads, and follow-up on existing customers in order to help develop product sales.Respond effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues, focusing on sustaining customer satisfaction and loyalty by maintaining a relationship with the customer.Develop and master researching techniques to identify prospective customers and the decision makers in the prospective organizations.Develop and manage relationships with assigned prospects and customers, and work with the sales staff to assess account potential.Assist in up-selling opportunities.Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.Perform other duties as directed.Within our Appliances, HVAC and Lighting (AHL), our vision is to enable safe and high performing products to enter the global markets by providing industry leading safety, performance, and expert services to our clients. Minimum Qualifications:University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline plus generally five years of relevant experience in handling business development or sales activity.Knowledgeable in new product development and portfolio management concepts.Demonstrated ability on how to develop a business.Posting Date: 2024-07-16
