ApoQlar is transforming the practice, experience, learning, and sharing of medicine with VSI HoloMedicine, a certified mixed reality platform leveraging Microsoft HoloLens hardware. Our mission is to enhance patient outcomes, empower clinical professionals, and educate the next generation of medical practitioners. The VSI HoloMedicine is FDA and CE approved, active in 50+ reference sites globally and a registered trademark in the EU, Singapore, and the USA.
In a period of rapid growth and ongoing VC investments, we're seeking a Business Development Representative located in Barcelona or nearby to cover the company's activities in the Iberian peninsula.
The primary objective of this position is to support a large-scale implementation of apoQlar's portfolio in a hospital located in Barcelona to proactively encourage the adoption of the technology to maximize its use and benefits. Following the implementation of this site, the core focus will switch to rapid business development in other major centers from Portugal to Catalonia and everywhere in between, as well as ensuring a high level of ongoing support at the hero site in Barcelona.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify business opportunities through systematic tracking of market trends and competitive analysisConduct presentations and product demonstrations for potential customersTrack sales opportunities and closely collaborate with the sales team around the worldWork cross-functionally and collaboratively with different stakeholders in marketing, regulatory, health economics and market access, and productPrepare reports and analysis to monitor business successParticipate / Lead at medical conferences, trade shows, and events to promote brand awarenessEnsure the correct installation and implementation of the technologyProvide high-quality technical and clinical support for clinicians on an ongoing basisBe a trusted partner for clinicians and support co-development of advanced products and features between our R&D team and the customerSupport clinical and economic research programmesDevelop high-level relationships with hospital stakeholders, C-Suite, HOD, CliniciansManage our expanding network of Key Opinion Leaders in the greater Iberia territoryExpectation is to be with customers on site at least 4 out of 5 daysYour ProfileTechnical or scientific background, ideally in Biomedical Engineering or related Medical Technologies5+ years work experience in a clinical environment5+ years work experience in sales or customer support functionsFluent in both English and Catalan or SpanishMust demonstrate a high level of motivation, be a self-starter and comfortable to work relatively autonomouslyExperience with mixed reality hardware and/or software is a distinct advantageBenefits and CompensationEligibility for our EU sales commissions scheme.In the first year, there will be no cap on commissions, incentivizing rapid scaling of the business.You will receive a company laptop, phone, HoloLens 2 (or newer), and Meta Quest 3 (or newer) for use in your role.We believe in recognizing your hard work and providing you with the tools and support needed for your success.
