Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the Business Development Representative (BDR) is a client-focused, solutions-driven individual who is focused on sourcing, fostering, and closing new business opportunities. Employment Type: Regular Full TimeLocation: Remote Canada Responsibilities Identify and prospect potential accounts to find and manage new opportunities. Close new business by working with internal subject matter experts to develop solutions that deliver real value to the customers' organizations. Demonstrate knowledge of current trends and issues in target markets and leverage this information in discussions with prospects and clients. Conduct account planning, opportunity management, and relationship development activities in all new accounts. Understand prospect and client needs. Communicate compelling value propositions and associated customer value. In-depth understanding and adherence to existing sales processes to drive growth (opportunity analysis, demand generation, sales plans, etc.). Achieve individual revenue targets. Communicate sales forecasts to other stakeholders in the organization as required. Work with the marketing department to identify opportunities to collaborate on marketing and sales campaigns. Network with relevant industry groups on social media, as well as attend industry related events and conferences in-person and online. Some travel should be expected. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five years in a business development role. Ability to understand our service offerings. Excellent communication skills. Proven ability to consult with prospects and clients to assess needs, drive out ambiguity, guide, question, and structure proposals and solutions. Demonstrates curiosity, empathy, and assertive consultation skills to become established as the client's trusted advisor. Skilled in leading discussions to facilitate, elicit, design, and present ideas to prospects or clients. Proficient with sales tools such as Hubspot, LinkedIn Navigator, Lusha, and other industry tools. Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the client's needs are served in the best manner possible.
