We are looking for a Business Development Manager for the steel sector. Role description and responsibilitiesAnalyze the market to uncover opportunities and promote engineering and construction services for clients in the steel sector, covering the full project lifecycle from conceptualization (e.g., FEED, Pre-FEED) to execution (e.g., EPmCm) and asset management, with a primary focus on decarbonizing the industry. Examples include:Carbon capture and storage solutions: Implementing technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of steel productionHydrogen-based direct reduced iron systems (DRI): Developing systems that use hydrogen instead of carbon for iron reductionElectric arc furnace upgrades (EAF): Enhancing the efficiency and environmental performance of EAFs through retrofits and upgradesDefine TR's value proposition in the sectorEngage with clients and maintain corporate relationships with key clientsDevelop connections with key licensors/OEMs and maintain corporate relationshipsSeek out potential partners that complement TR's capabilities and assist in market positioningEstablish TR's positioning, define the strategy, and support the bidding process, coordinating with other BDMs who provide complementary value (regional knowledge, service knowledge) and with the Proposals' DirectorsReport all commercial activities, from opportunity identification to contracting, through SalesforceBackground and experience+10 years of relevant experienceComprehensive knowledge of the steel industry, with a keen understanding of market drivers, trends, and playersStrong commercial acumen with communication and negotiation skills, capable of building strong and durable client relationshipsDeep commercial network within the steel industryHighly strategic and analytical thinkingPassion and understanding of the importance that specific technologies have in accelerating the energy transitionAvailability for frequent travel, mostly within Europe, North America, and the Middle EastEducation: Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university in industrial or mechanical engineering or chemistry.
