Business Development Manager Responsibilities: Explore and develop new partnership opportunities with a high-level focus in Italy for Meta Reality Labs across a variety of products including smart glasses, AR devices, luxury brands, avatars, metaverse, and more.
Work closely with the product partnerships team to drive new partnership opportunities to fruition.
Bring partnerships from deal close through product launches.
Scale, nurture, and optimize partnerships beyond launch, identifying incremental, mutually beneficial opportunities to grow the partnership.
Develop strong and deep relationships with our key partners across RL product areas.
Manage all internal and external executive communication, meetings, and engagements.
Manage the proper senior-level partner relationships with a focus on continued growth of the partnership and execution against contractual obligations.
Work collaboratively & cross-functionally with business development, marketing, operations, data science, engineering, product management, legal, developer strategy, and comms to execute our obligations as articulated in each partnership.
Maintain a cadence of regular syncs with partners to understand their roadmaps and priorities to proactively identify opportunities to grow the partnership beyond any initial deal.
Advocate for the partner internally and for the Meta team's needs externally with the partner.
Analyze key business metrics to impact change for both the partner and internally within FRL.
Work closely with the Italian government and policy teams at Meta to drive forward Reality Labs product partnership objectives and programs in conjunction with key Italian partners.
Minimum Qualifications: Comfort with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment.
Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized, and excellent communication skills.
Experience with structuring and negotiating partnership agreements for development, joint development, IP and brand licensing, marketing and distribution, and more.
Highly strategic and experienced in leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate, collaborate, and successfully seize opportunities.
8+ years in a partner-facing role in the Internet, consumer electronics, and/or high-tech industries, including 5+ years of business development experience.
Sound business judgment and ability to prioritize and triage partner-related issues, solution-find, and effectively motivate internal and external stakeholders to work towards a common goal.
Preferred Qualifications: Skilled at navigating, understanding, and enforcing contracts.
Fluent in Italian; other languages are desired.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships, garner respect, and grow influence inside and outside the AR/VR organization.
Previous business experience in hardware and devices partnerships, HW/SW partner management.
Strong technical competence or tech-curious and motivated to learn.
BA/BS Degree, MBA degree desired.
