Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Remote with Travel. Can be based anywhere in Europe
Reporting to: Managing Director, Football
Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and strategic-minded Business Development Manager to join our commercial team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth of the Hawk-Eye Football business, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and driving significant revenue growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sports technology.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead Generation and Prospecting:Generate leads through various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, and online research, as well as an established personal network.Qualify leads and prioritise opportunities based on potential value and alignment with company objectives.Client Engagement and Relationship Building:Initiate contact with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and presenting relevant solutions.Build and maintain strong relationships with external key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers.Pipeline Management and Reporting:Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking opportunities from initial contact to closure.Provide regular updates on business development activities, progress, and forecasts to management.Enter and track opportunities in the CRM.Market Analysis:Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and growth opportunities to create leads from.Analyse industry developments to inform business development strategies.Understand the competitive landscape in which Hawk-Eye operates in order to exploit opportunities.Proposal Development and Presentation:Alongside Commercial Managers, prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.Collaborate with internal teams (i.e., Product and Operations) to develop customised solutions that meet client requirements.Qualifications and ExperienceEssential:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience in business development or sales roles, preferably in the sports technology or related industry.Well-developed business network/relationships.Strong networking and relationship-building skills.Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.Desirable:
Familiarity with the sports industry, especially football.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
