About the Role
- The GBDI Director Spain will report to Chief Executive Europe and will enable LM to deliver the strategy for Spain and be successful in winning/keeping key programmes in the country.
In brief, working closely with corporate functions and Business Areas in LM, the Director will:
Develop and manage LM corporate engagement and business development in SpainProvide a strong understanding of Spanish customer plans and prioritiesUnderstand the business environment and trends affecting Lockheed MartinDevelop effective strategies for growing and maintaining Lockheed Martin business in SpainResponsibilities include: Support the development and implementation of the Lockheed Martin Spanish strategyRepresent Lockheed Martin with key government, political, industrial, and military stakeholders in Spain and develop positive relationships with them in coordination with the Business AreasLead government relations activities in Spain in support of LM strategic aimsProvide LM Business Areas with a clear understanding of changing customer needs and expectations in terms of capabilities, technologies, requirements, and their impact on capture/contract content and deliveryProvide political, military, and economic situational reports to Lockheed Martin executivesContribute to the creation, development, and sustainment of Spanish industrial partnerships and alliancesPlan and coordinate events and activities to support the Corporation's business development and government relations goalsPosition LM as one company through events, seminars, sponsorships, and donationsRequired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: Equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignmentFluent in Spanish and English, written and verbalInternational business and customer relations experience within SpainExperience of representing a brand and communicating clearly both within the company and to customers and stakeholdersEstablished contacts with government and military personnelThe ability to identify business opportunitiesStrong ability to build successful business relationships with all levels of stakeholders in both public and private sectorsA team player who can work well with international multi-cultural teams, committed to personal excellence, ethical behaviour, and integrityKnowledge and experience of successfully working and thriving in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple lines of work concurrentlyA high degree of flexibility and availability to travel within Spain and occasionally elsewhere within Europe and to the USSelf-motivation and the ability to operate in a virtual team with minimal guidanceDemonstrated ability to deliver international growth campaigns, set milestones and deliverables, and execute by delivering long-range planning commitmentsExcellent knowledge and understanding of government, political, and military decision processes and requirementsJob Reference Number:
