Your Role and Responsibilities
As a successful Business Design Consultant in the WW Delivery Excellence team, you will work alongside local and global leaders to standardize and create repeatable, scalable processes that exceed our client expectations and ensure profitability. The Worldwide Delivery Excellence team is a global practice in TEL that collaborates with Geo & Market leadership to define, maintain, and scale repeatable standards, methods, and tools for services delivery. Our focus is on the practice of ensuring outstanding project delivery, starting with the project proposal in pre-sales, continuing with project staffing through the delivery phase of the project lifecycle.
Cross-organizational interaction with stakeholders to develop requirements for organizational transformation that focus on driving quality improvements, effectively managing delivery risk, and improving customer satisfaction.Project Management, Communication Management, Change Management, and stakeholder enablement, to ensure adoption and scale of best practices that are implemented.Proficiency in learning new and using existing technical tools to manage the business (includes but is not limited to Clarizen, EPM, YourLearning, Video/Audio production tools, MS Office).Leading multiple transformational initiatives simultaneously / multi-tasking.The role is a WW role which requires personal flexibility in work schedule to interact with stakeholders in four geographies across multiple time zones.If you are passionate about success, with both your career and solving clients' business challenges, this role is for you. Success in Communication and Relationships: Demonstrating success in communication and personal relationship development at all levels - from engineers to executives - with experience of navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions.Identifying Insights for Project Improvements: Collaboration with local project teams and market leaders to inspect and identify repeatable patterns and insights for improvements starting pre-contract thru project closure.Developing a high-performing team: Cultivating teamwork and problem-solving while working under delivery expectations and deadlines.Project Metrics Management: Reporting and strategizing solutions for managing project metrics including project health, financials-costs, revenue, and gross profit, team productivity, and client satisfaction.Required Technical and Professional Expertise Project Management Skills: Applied knowledge and skill on project management and program management. A strong understanding of the Project Management lifecycle is essential, from pre-sales through to Project closure.Global Service Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio and program management techniques and frameworks for service type businesses globally. IBM client delivery organization experience preferred.Experienced Problem Solver and Influencer: Adept at navigating matrixed and cross-functional organizations to resolve issues, propose risk mitigation strategies and provide project direction that quickly builds credibility and influences as a trusted advisor.Tools knowledge: Knowledge or background experience in project management systems especially Clarizen.Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Professional Skills: Understanding of IBM /TEL business process and PM Processes, translating business requirements into system requirements, use of Clarizen for Reporting and Insights, process documentation / training & enablement, video production & editing (e.g. Adobe Premiere or Apple FCPX), consulting skills - collaboration with stakeholders, effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.Technical Skills: Prior technical knowledge and expertise in any of the following a plus but not required (JavaScript/NodeJS, IBM Carbon components/ReactJS, JSON, GitHub, Visual Studio, HTML Code + Premiere or FCPX + Photoshop (for editing code, video, images).About Business Unit
