AM Business control team is looking for a business control manager to be based in Iberia (Seville, Arganda or Lisbon). Additional Material business mainly consists of manufacturing and supply of caps, straws and strips to our Packaging material factories or our customers directly. AM business is under transformation specially in Europe due to evolving sustainability regulations e.g. Paper straws instead of plastic straws, tethered caps instead of standard caps. As part of AM business control team, you will be responsible to drive performance, ensure compliance to company policies & procedures, plan, monitor & deliver on the financial targets of the AM business. You will be expected to work on continuous improvement projects/teams to drive productivity.
What you will doThis role will have 2 main sets of responsibilities:
Factory controlling activities of Lisbon (paper straw factory):
• Responsible for monitoring and delivering on factory performance (KPI) to ensure that our product is of best quality at lowest cost
• Complete grip of factory financial; Budget, Forecast & Actuals (expenses, Depreciation, Logistics, waste value, any other factory related P&L or BS head)
• Support the continuous improvement culture in the factory; Leader of factory cost pillar, provide insights about losses and their value
• Lead and manage the business control activities (monthly closing, expense control, timely provisions etc)
• Ensure monthly stock check activities & quarterly waste reconciliation
• Create investment business cases and follow up actual costs/results vs business case.
• Ensure compliance to corporate governance policies and procedures and drive internal control monitoring
• Ensure compliance to local legal and tax requirements, manage the local legal entity related tasks
• Support in product costing calculation every month, Provide accurate inputs for product costing to CPCU
• Understand and analyse product costing of own factory and benchmark for improvements.As part of AM central BC team:
• Able to participate in AM business control wide projects to drive continuous improvements
• Actively contributing to NCSP (S4hana) project implementation with AM Business control, by either being directly involved in NCSP project or taking over tasks from existing team members for them to be involved in NCSP project
• Be the centre of expertise for business controlling especially for Paper straw business and other straw factories managed by AM, for example Paper straw expansion to other parts of world, new business models in paper straws, support to new controllers, stand in for temporary vacancies
• He/She will be involved in few of the below activities with the intention to manage them independently once fully ready:
o Monthly reporting of performance for AM Supply chain
o Review of AM financial results and follow up on anomalies and resolve anomalies with concerned parties (factories, hubs etc)
o Contribute to investment management process in AM Supply chain
• Develop a strong relationship within extended Finance & AM Supply organisation; Accounting & Tax hubs/teams, MC finance team, SuM & FREM teams, AM central team etc.We believe you haveMinimum of 5 years of Business Control experience and a completed degree.
Should become an expert on the company tools for reporting and analysing, drive self-service mindset in the factory.
Should be very comfortable with learning/applying existing (SAP, Excel, BO, power BI etc) & learning new tools (S4Hana, PBI, project management etc) & implementing in his/her organisation.
