We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Control Manager to join our credit rating agency's dynamic team, focusing on reinforcing controls by the first line of business. As a Business Control Manager, your primary responsibility will be the design, implementation and reinforcement of processes to enhance first line controls primarily related to client on-boarding, transmission of rating orders to analytical team, production of credit ratings and their release. Your role will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the effectiveness of our operational procedures and entails a significant amount of coordination and project management with a problem-solving oriented attitude. The position offers potential for development of mentoring or managing junior resources.Key Responsibilities:Process Implementation: Design, develop, implement, processes and procedures within the operational processes in the analytical department.Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for processes, procedures, and control enhancements, maintaining a clear and organized record of changes and updates.Control Enhancement: Collaborate with the first line of business to identify control weaknesses and design solutions to strengthen first line controls effectively.KPI Monitoring: Monitor outsourcing agreements.Responsible for First Line Controls: Exhibit strong project management skills to drive initiatives related to control enhancement and process optimization, including the following specific projects:Coordination of Analyst Rotation: Oversee the coordination of analyst rotation within the first line of business.Revision of Regulatory Disclosure and Reporting Procedures: Take the lead in revising all regulatory disclosure and reporting procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations.Compliance: Ensure that all first line activities align with regulatory standards, and monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Qualifications:Exceptional project and process management abilities; including track record of successful completion of projects.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on delivering results.Independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.Excellent understanding of the three line of defense framework.Accountable and dynamic with the ability to work pro-actively in full autonomy.Multi-cultural, collaborative and detail-oriented personality.Ability to understand broader business issues.Outstanding interdisciplinary and organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong writing and communication skills.Ability to present and justify milestones, timelines and progress of development.Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills; Strong knowledge on dynamic project and workflow tools, e.g. JIRA, Asana, ARIS.Certification in project or process management is considered a plus, e.g. IPMA, Prince 2, SCRUM.If this sounds like a journey for you, we look forward to learning more from your convincing application.
