About the position
Softonic is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the development of its Strategy. This is a project-based role (temporary contract), expected to last from the second half of 2024 to the first half of 2025.
This position reports to the VP of Growth and Product.
Key responsibilities
Research on market insights, industry trends, competing organizations, business opportunities, and new technologies.
Perform financial modeling to define business opportunities and design and lead tests to validate key hypotheses, build business models, lean canvas, etc.
Support research on M&A opportunities and initial steps for due diligence of candidate for acquisition companies.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to align on the business proposals and their suitability with their respective business areas.
Organize and participate in the recruitment and the management of external third-party service providers, freelancers, and consultants.
Develop written internal and external pitch materials (memorandums and mainly presentations).
Minimum Experience and qualifications
Strong analytical orientation, financial modeling, valuation, and problem-solving.
Self-driven, structured, able to work independently.
Good knowledge of available information resources.
3+ years of experience in the strategic consulting industry.
At least 3+ years of experience in fast-paced tech startup companies.
Capable of producing high-quality work products independently and as part of a team.
Proven experience in delivering written documentation for project pitching (PPT).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
