Business Analyst - contract/freelance
My client is a leading consulting business, servicing an end-user customer. They seek an experienced business analyst for an immediate start in Tres Cantos, north of Madrid.
Remit
Documentation
Functional analysis
Technical analysis
PowerBuilder, Sybase, Client Server or at least knowledge of SQL.
NTH
Functional knowledge in commercial, logistics, production, Editorial, and PIM.
Experience in the publishing sector
Duties
Describe the impact of error or failure in each functionality.
Collect information in Spanish and document and describe the analysis in English.
Excellent writing and speaking in Spanish and English.
Log worked hours with explanation in SL Jira.
Responsible for analysing and modelling existing business processes to understand and document current business procedures and identify areas for improvement.
Use modelling tools to document the current state of business processes as well as the desired future state.
Working relationships
Product Development Managers - Internal Customer and product owners
Developers - working closely with dev teams.
Project Managers - working closely with project managers across multiple projects and delivering to deadlines.
Responsibilities
Perform feasibility analysis, scope projects, and work with the project management team to prioritize deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities.
Create detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate it into functional specifications.
Provide analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.
Partner with development and analytic teams to provide reporting on software solutions.
Participate in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing.
Skills and Qualifications
Understanding of systems engineering concepts
The ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
Business case development
Modeling techniques and methods
Experience Required
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience in software development projects (2 years +)
Experience as a Business Analyst (2 years +)
