We're always looking for passionate and creative people to help us in this mission!Job DescriptionThe Product Applications Specialist is responsible for supporting the Cooling (CWT) Applications and support Field Service and Commercial Sales representatives in the Iberia region to grow and maintain industry-specific applications.Essential ResponsibilitiesAct as a technical expert in Cooling (CWT) treatment chemistry, with solid expertise in Cooling applications and processes.Employ engineering and statistical skills to conduct troubleshooting and offer data-driven solutions to Cooling (CWT) related problems in industrial facilities in the region.Support and perform technical audits and provide treatment recommendations in support of existing applications and new business opportunities. This includes working with the commercial team in responding to RFQs, optimizing treatment programs and troubleshooting submitted in SFDC.Attend customer meetings as required and present appropriate technical information to operations, engineering, and plant management.Identify unique market niches and product portfolio needs.Drive introduction of new product initiatives (NPI's) and direct material productivity improvements (DMP) when requested.Conduct regular technical training sessions for the commercial and field service team and external customers to ensure application competency and product knowledge.Participate and effectively present at Customer or Industry Seminars, as requested by the Commercial Leaders.Support the creation of technical content for reference manuals, customer manuals, marketing collateral, case histories, and product fact sheets.Work closely with Commercial teams, customers, and industry contacts to evaluate, implement, and support new business initiatives.Support digital initiatives and optimize customer experience and optimize commercial support through Insight.If possible, participate in industry technical committees' meetings to properly represent VEOLIA's position.Stay on top of industry trends, new chemical treatment technology, monitoring and analytical tools, Cooling (CWT) treatment equipment. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations related to the CWT domain (REACH, BPR and local regulations (e.g. legionella)).Also participate in cross-functional, cross-cultural teams to evaluate new technologies.Work closely with Technology CoE in Haasrode, Belgium and in particular the Applications Lab (and Metallurgical Lab) as related to customer service studies and/or customer (metallurgical analyses).Communicate VEOLIA technical accomplishments and knowledge through internal and external publications, conferences, and presentations.Embrace EHS & play an active role in creating a culture of safety.QualificationsBachelors or Masters' Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a technical discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in chemical treatment of Cooling (CWT) systems.Ability to travel domestically 20-40%. Ability to travel abroad as required.Support commercial and field service teams in Iberia.Willing to provide support in other EMEA countries on request.Strong oral communication skills. Comfortable developing and delivering technical presentations to senior leaders at customer sites and within Veolia.Strong written communication skills. Capable of writing technical documents and clearly conveying complex technical issues in a written format.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing to meet business objectives.Self-starter that can accept broad-based assignments and work with limited direction from manager.Desired CharacteristicsDirect experience in Cooling (CWT) treatment chemistry and willing to deepen knowledge and develop expertise.Familiar with technical issues and regulations.Ability to work with or in remote cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
