Join us.Job DescriptionHere, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity.We are currently recruiting an Engineer with experience in bridges and/or structures design, to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Projects, either as standalone bridge commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects. Our internal clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors.You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Global Delivery Center (Poland/Spain).Responsibilities- Works as part of a bridges and structures team with other designers at the same functional level that can be from different EC offices (Poland, Spain, India...). Undertakes non-routine, medium complex projects supported by EC.- Coordinates and leads small design teams focused on structural design for a specific project.- Conducts noncomplex value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials, construction techniques.- Works autonomously within established procedures with latitude to determine work priorities.- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings, including participation in interdisciplinary reviews.- Ensures that project technical goals/milestones/budgets are met.- Prepares complex project deliverables using a team of junior technical and support staff, providing supervision to and mentoring less experienced staff.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:- Proven track record of working on bridges and/or structures designs with some experience working with international and multi-cultural teams (+5 years).- Experience with international standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA, Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.).- Proficiency in engineering software for bridge and structures (preferable Midas Civil, but others as CSiBridge, SAP2000, etc. are well considered).- Experience working in the North America / ANZ region will be considered favorably.- Ability to solve complex issues with limited direction on the bridges and/or structures field.- Fluent in English (oral and written).Preferred Qualifications:- Master degree in Civil Engineering.Additional Information#LI-GA1AECOM is a Fortune 500 firm and its Professional Services business had revenue of $14.4 billion in fiscal year 2023.
