As our Brand Director in charge of Spain, Portugal, and Italy, you'll be part of the Oatly Department of Mind Control (ODMC), driving the brand's expansion in your markets.
Your mission is to lead our brand strategy in your market, foster local alignment, and take the Oatly brand where no other brand can follow.
Your primary focus is to propel our brand beyond conventional limits. You are the local custodian of one of the world's most un-explainable yet deeply resonating brands and voice, inspiring everyone to amplify it through collaborations, activations, events, and, above all, local weirdness.
You'll also engage in global campaigns, sharing your market knowledge, experiences, and wisdom.
You must understand that at Oatly, we do things differently, driven by a clear sense of what's right for our brand. Your strategic acumen, charismatic leadership, and problem-solving skills will shine in this role.
The role is based in Barcelona and requires native/full professional proficiency in Spanish and English. Please note that we do not offer relocation for this role.
You will report to the ODMC Managing Director, based in Barcelona. How lucky is that?
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
At least 10 years of well-documented experience working in Branding and Advertising. Food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory.
A strategic mindset and excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
Impeccable creative taste and the ability to recognize a brilliant Oatly creative idea when you see one.
Experience working in Southern Europe.
A strong business acumen.
A proven track record of driving business decisions.
An ability to lead and inspire.
A highly collaborative approach and love for innovative solutions.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:
Lead brand strategy for growth in your market, including local implementation, creative development, and sustainability initiatives.
Collaborate with market GM to identify strategic opportunities and secure funding.
Maintain momentum and alignment within your assigned ODMC team (creatives, Project Lead, etc).
Establish and nurture strong relationships and ongoing dialogue with key internal Oatly stakeholders (Sustainability, Food Service/OOH, Barista Market Developers, Sales, etc). Your ability to create effective relationships will be directly proportional to your success in this role.
Stay updated on local commercial issues and promote brand amplification.
Foster dialogue with the ODMC Central Team to inform global strategy.
Work closely with the creative team assigned to your markets to ensure world-class creative execution.
Manage the Brand Leads across Southern Europe.
Supervise the brand's activations in Portugal and Italy, through a strong collaboration with our Barista Market Developers.
