Branch Accountant

A Branch Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of a specific branch, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and compliance with company policies. Below is a typical job description and qualifications for this role:Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the branch.Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and submit them to regional or corporate accounting.Assist in the preparation of branch-level budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor branch performance against budgets and identify areas for cost control or improvement.Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of all financial transactions.Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable at the branch level.Monitor the branch's cash flow and manage cash reserves.Ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of branch expenses.Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard branch assets and prevent fraud or mismanagement.Provide financial analysis and insights to support branch decision-making.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.With accounting experience.Knowledge:Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks).Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data.Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Paid trainingSchedule:8 hour shiftSupplemental Pay:13th month salaryEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)License/Certification:CMA (Preferred)CPA (Preferred)#J-18808-Ljbffr
