DESCRIPTION:AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

As a Partner Sales Solution Architect focused on G/SI and Independent Software Vendors (ISV's) within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help accelerate and deliver on customer's technical strategy leveraging solution design best practices, cloud native use cases, and broad set of AWS solutions offered by the partner community.
Roles & Responsibilities:As a member of the AWS Solutions Architect team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our managed systems integrators. This includes:
Act as a technical leader in the field to provide architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote & accelerate partner engagements worldwide.Ensure customer & partner success in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.Lead deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.Be an AWS evangelist; educate customers & partners of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS.Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers, blogs, and proof of concepts.In partnership with the sales & partner team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS & its partner solutions.Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers & partners to enable them to be cloud advocates.Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.Key Job Responsibilities:As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will have ownership of the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and best-practice architectures. Internally, you will be an advocate acting on behalf of the customer to help drive continual improvements to the AWS platform, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features and services. You will also help shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organisation by helping to hire, coach, and mentor others.
In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community. You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelise and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences). BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrable hands-on implementation or consulting experience and demonstrate a strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle or experience in infrastructure and network architecture, DevOps, or software engineering.Experience in customer-facing roles and a proven record of effective collaborations across multiple internal organizations and interactions with partners and customers.Experience working with end-user or developer communities.Experience in infrastructure and network architecture, DevOps, or software engineering.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud or architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.Familiarity with common enterprise services (Directory Services, Information Assurance, Virtual Desktop, etc.), products (i.e., Oracle, SAP), and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with both external and internal executives, IT Management, and developers.Experience in positioning professional services to prospective customers.Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly such as AWS Certification, e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
