The PositionYour department With a department of more than 100 biostatisticians, data scientists, and data managers located at Roche Diagnostics sites in Penzberg, Indianapolis, Mannheim and Sant Cugat del Vallès, we support global projects for bringing new diagnostics to patients.
Your Team We are looking for a biostatistician/clinical data scientist (m/f/d) for our site in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona. The team is focusing on applying state-of-the-art statistical and data science methodologies in order to advance Personalized Healthcare and Companion Diagnostics projects.
Key Responsibilities Your focus area will be Personalized Healthcare and Companion Diagnostics.You will act as a project statistician/data scientist to support the development of new biomarkers.Moreover, you will be responsible for planning and analysis of analytical and clinical studies.You will interact closely with project stakeholders (R&D, clinical operations, clinical development, regulatory affairs, business, external partners, and customers) to capture requirements for data analysis and communicate back the results.You will have a chance to apply state-of-the-art multivariate techniques for the development of biomarkers.Who you are: You have completed a University degree in (bio-)statistics or related subjects (e.g. mathematics, epidemiology, physics) with substantial experience in statistics and preferably with a PhD.You have experience in life science/diagnostics/pharmaceutical industry or successfully completed clinical data analysis projects in academia. Experience in the field of health economics models is an advantage.You are familiar with diagnostic statistical procedures (e.g. Logistic regression, ROC analysis, cut-off determination) and you are experienced in the design, analysis, and evaluation of analytical and clinical studies.In addition, you hold expertise in statistical methods, such as classification, survival and longitudinal models and you also are enthusiastic about applying and implementing new statistical methods.You have excellent knowledge of R and LaTeX, ideally knitr or R markdown and are able to explain complex statistical topics to your customers in an understandable way and enjoy presenting your work to the project teams.Additionally, you have excellent organizational and documentation skills and are fluent in English (spoken and written), German is an advantage.What do we offer?
