Join our dynamic team as aBid Managerat our Serco Office in Frascati, Italy or in Madrid, Spain. In this role, you'll be an integral part of the European Bid Team, collaborating with diverse bid teams across the Business Unit. Based in Italy or Spain, you'll also work closely with teams in Belgium, Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland, and beyond.
This role is crucial in positioning the company for success by securing valuable business opportunities and contributing to its growth. Day-to-day, you'll collaborate withBusiness Development (BD)and bid teams, ensuring proper resourcing, implementing strong governance, and actively participating in crafting winning bids.
Operating on a project basis, this role spans all geographies and disciplines within the Europe Business Unit as required. Join us and be a driving force in our exciting projects and initiatives.
Independently manage small to medium-scale bid processes end-to-end, working closely with the Head of Bidding and individual bid teams. Support the management of larger-scale/strategic bids as required, working in collaboration with Bid Directors and BD Leads. Manage physical and virtual bid teams, including securing inputs from key stakeholders, typically involving sales, technical, finance, commercial, legal and marketing colleagues. Manage/support the bid strategy and production process, from opportunity identification through to submission and follow-up. Manage/support the governance process for individual bids, working in partnership with Bid Directors (where applicable) and wider bid teams. Manage/support key stages of the bid process – e.g. production of bid kick-off packs, running win strategy workshops, managing red reviews etc. Management and tracking of risks. Manage individual bid calendars and budgets. Manage the SharePoint site for each specific bid. Manage bid submission portals. Ad hoc bid writing and production tasks as required. Coordinate and contribute to client presentation/dialogue sessions as required. 2+ years of successful experience in the management of live bids. The ideal candidate should possess a strong intellect and demonstrate precision and attention to detail, coupled with excellent organizational skills. Proficient in Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to manage demanding and fluctuating workloads effectively. Exhibits thoroughness and attention to detail while maintaining composure under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders across the business. Desirable: Familiarity with Space or Defence bidding processes.
