Join our team and build the future of space technology We're expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a backend developer with passion in what you do , talented and experienced, to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology.
The candidate will work as part of a team of engineers developing the user interface for our Mission Control Software (MCS). The MCS is the main interface for the operators to control the spacecraft systems. This software processes and stores telemetries received from different satellites and allows us to operate them during the missions by sending sequences of telecommands.
The new MCS client interface shall show and condense all required information to allow the operators to make the right decisions. Notice that this work will be in continuous evolution since the number of features and interface or visualization perspectives depend on the different missions of our clients. Thus, robustness, scalability, and flexibility are very important characteristics for this software.
What you will be doing? The following tasks will be assigned to the candidate:
Collaborate with backend developers and team members to improve our products
Enhance application for maximum speed and scalability
What do we need in our team? Experience in C/C++, Java/Python
Regular user of Git
Experience of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, React, or Vue
Keen to work with Agile methodologies and incremental delivery
Experience with API/web service integration
Committed to work under deadlines and in a self-managed environment
Tidy and clear coding standards
Valuable knowledge: Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent
Experience in database design
Experience in data visualization
Experience in unit testing
Experience in DevOps
Experience with Docker
Experience with Django
Fluent in English
Candidate qualifications and skills: Work remotely 60% of the time
