The Cancer Research Foundation of the University of Salamanca is a non-profit institution, dedicated to promoting and carrying out cancer research.
1. EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT CONDITIONS: Type of contract: Indefinite/Research Line

The signing of the contract will be subject to the successful candidate's compliance with the requirements of current employment legislation.
DUTIES: The person hired will join the 12 laboratory. The main duties and tasks to be carried out within the research project/s will include:
System administration and application installation. Operations management (control of scheduled processes, backups, application supervision: logs, alerts, security, etc.). Data analysis. Deployment and administration of Cloud infrastructures (Google Cloud, Amazon S3). Programming of applications in a web environment, responsive and dynamic with connection to databases and various APIs. Design, development and maintenance of biomedical laboratory pipelines. REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CALL General Requirements: Hold Spanish nationality, the nationality of a member country of the European Union or be a foreigner with a residence and work permit for Spain. Be at least 18 years of age and able to enter into a contract for the provision of their work. Not be affected by any mental or physical limitation that prevents the performance of the corresponding duties. Applicants whose nationality is not Spanish must also prove they are not subject to any disciplinary sanction or criminal conviction. Be in possession of the degree or diploma required for the post and professional category: Degree in Computer Engineering. Academic record with final grade above 9. Specialization in Operating Systems, Networks Management and Information Protection. Knowledge and familiarity with Data Analysis in R language and Database administration. Experience and training in Application Programming and Artificial Intelligence tools. Scholarships and participation in projects will be valued. No application will be considered unless it is accompanied by documentary proof of fulfilment of the requirements.
EVALUATING COMMITTEE: The selection committee will be made up of at least three members, including the requesting principal investigator.
SELECTION PROCESS The selection process shall consist of two stages:
STAGE I: Fulfillment of the requirements and analysis of the CV (up to 25 points).
STAGE II: Interview (25 points): Candidates who have obtained at least 12.5 points in STAGE I will be called for an interview.
The recruitment of research/technical staff by the Foundation shall follow the principles of transparent, open, and merit-based recruitment.
