We're looking for a Systems Engineer that can join our team in our Barcelona office. This is an opportunity to work in a critical infrastructure support position with a strong global team. The overall team consists of 11 engineers around the world, working alongside 6 technical architects.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor's degree in computer science, or work equivalence. 2-4 years enterprise high-level technical support. All facets of the Microsoft 365 platform including hybrid support in a Windows Server on-prem environment. Regular PowerShell usage for administration and scripting. Participation in a highly complex global technical environment. Tech stack: Microsoft 365 - Azure, Exchange Online, Intune, etc. Windows Server operating systems. Windows operating systems. MacOS support. Device Management. Process and Change Management. It would be great if you also have: Strong PowerShell scripting ability. Expert level knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Entra. Experience with M&A efforts including Sharegate and AvePoint. What will you be doing in this role? Monitors and maintains a hybrid Office 365 environment including all facets of M365 administration. Monitors and maintains the on-prem Windows Server environment, making configuration changes in support of complex and routine projects. Engages in a wide variety of troubleshooting tasks including infrastructure hardware, software, and security issues via the company trouble ticketing system and escalation process. Participates in troubleshooting large, complex issues spanning other upper echelon support teams. Integrates new standards, specifications, and technologies into existing processes and methodologies. Maintains and advances technical and non-technical skills. Leverages in-house and outside resources for training and shares knowledge acquired with the team. Follows change management processes. Participates in vendor management. Participates in engineering level and architecture driven projects. Observes and learns a highly complex, heterogeneous technical environment. Responsible for various day-to-day housekeeping tasks, responding to alerts, ticket queue management. Manages ticket escalations from the service desk, workplace, and peer technical teams. About the Team The engineering team is global and has engineers in AMER, APAC, and EMEA regions. We also work closely with our sister teams in Infosec, Network Operations, and DevOps who are also global. Our roles span from 6 associate engineers through to our 2 lead engineers. This listing is for a senior position, situated between those two levels.
We're a mostly Microsoft group but our day-to-day can span most technical possibilities, having a strong troubleshooting process and an adventurous attitude is a must!
Hours of Work This is a full-time, permanent position, primarily working core CET business hours. Hybrid model, working 2-3 times per week from our Barcelona Office.
