The Marketo Architect is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced marketing automation strategies and solutions using Marketo. This role requires a deep understanding of marketing technology, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to drive successful marketing campaigns and optimize lead management processes. You should be able to lead the team of Marketo and will be responsible for backlog management as well.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing automation strategies using Marketo to support the organization's marketing goals and objectives.
System Architecture: Design and maintain the Marketo architecture, ensuring integration with other systems such as CRM, CMS, analytics, and third-party applications.
Campaign Management: Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, lead nurturing, lead scoring, and multi-channel marketing initiatives.
Data Management: Ensure data integrity and quality within Marketo and connected systems, manage database segmentation, and support data migration projects.
Analytics and Reporting: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, IT, and external vendors to align marketing automation processes with business requirements and objectives.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to marketing teams on best practices for using Marketo, and stay updated with the latest Marketo features and industry trends.
Compliance: Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant regulations and best practices, including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other data privacy laws.
What do we require? A degree in Economics, Marketing, Business or similar.
3+ years of project experience with a data-centric campaign management / marketing automation / marketing platform (Adobe Campaign Classic or Standard, Marketo or others, e.g. HCL Unica, Oracle Eloqua, SAS MA, Emarsys, etc.).
Basic understanding of and experience working with relational databases.
Excellent analytical skills which make it easy for you to problem solve and draw insights from data.
A good affinity for working with numbers and data in spreadsheets.
Experience in international projects and working with remote teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer orientation approach.
Excellent English language skills (verbal and written).

Experience with task management and bug tracking tools like JIRA.
Good command of wiki-based documentation, e.g. Confluence.
Additional language skills, including German or Spanish, would be an asset.
