Control Room HW Engineer We are looking for a Control Room Engineer to support our business in control room equipment supply for nuclear power plants, as well as other non-nuclear and nuclear-grade equipment. The engineer will join a team currently located in Spain and the US.
What your day-to-day looks like:Work with a team of engineers to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) control room consoles, panels and associated electro-mechanical components and subassemblies.Issue hardware design documentation such as control room console, cabinet or panel layout drawings, and cable & wiring schematics for I&C products.Manage Bill of Materials and revision control of design packages.Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, design, testing and manufacturing of I&C hardware products.Generate design, equipment, and requirements specifications for control room hardware.Work closely with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications.Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system & quality requirements.Interface with engineering organizations and third-party test facilities in conducting equipment qualification tests.Perform engineering calculations in support of design or analysis of products.Support resolution of technical issues including obsolescence.Support development of test procedures and execution of functional tests.Provide support to customers for installation and emergent technical issues.Opportunities to travel to customer and supplier sites (domestic and international).Execute assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.What we'd like to see from you:Education:- Minimum of B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Experience/Requirements:Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design.Knowledge of typical industry standard drawings including P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, schematics, cabinet drawings and panel layouts.Knowledge of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry is a plus.Knowledge of lab equipment use (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, etc.)Experience in CAD/CAE (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical/Inventor) software is desired.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).Knowledge of Human Factors Engineering practices and guidelines is a plus.Experience with Data acquisition systems consisting of servers, workstations, controllers and Input/Output modules preferred.Experience with Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests of I&C equipment and electrical cabinets.Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Strong planning and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team including engineering, testing, manufacturing, supply chain management, and suppliers.Highly motivated, self-starter.Fluent in English and Spanish.Employment opportunities may require access to information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
