With market access to 90 percent of world's food basket and focused on high-growth regions, UPL represents a compelling value proposition for growers, distributors, suppliers and innovation partners in a consolidating market.UPL offers an integrated portfolio of both patented and post-patent agricultural solutions for various arable and specialty crops, including biological, crop protection, seed treatment and post-harvest solutions covering the entire crop value chain.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure daily transactions are posted correctly.Regular financial processes are completed on a timely basis e.g. bank reconciliations, collection of debts, AR/AP accounting, payment of vendors, stock management, VAT returns.Daily accounting operations of the holding company.Support to Portugal subsidiary accounting operations, review and control.Perform a month end close review of all accounts.Meet deadlines, including close of month end.Assist in distributing monthly financial statements.Assist with company audits.Assist with extracting financial data from the system that assist in business decisions.Document and implement financial process and procedures.RequirementsBachelor's degree.3+ years of accounting/audit/controlling positions experience.SAP experience required.Strong computer skills, especially Excel.Ability to learn new software quickly and effectively.Strong understanding of general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inter-company accounting.Fluent in writing and speaking in English and Spanish.Comfortable with seeking continuous improvement and change.Team player working with others to understand and meet their financial needs.Be self-motivated, organized, demonstrate initiative, comfortable with problem-solving, making decisions.Result oriented and able to manage their time to suit.Committed to ongoing learning and personal development and working in a continuous-learning and changing virtual work environment.We are all about connecting with people, in a human way - showing respect, demonstrating trust, celebrating diversity.For us technology is an enabler, not the endgame.
