An important part of Swiss Re's data and analytics management is the handling of documents and records.
The value that can be generated through seamless embedding of documents in business processes is substantial and records need to be handled according to regulations.
With this new leadership role, we aim at strengthening the enterprise document and records management area.
The leader will foster a trustful partner network, work with the team to achieve the defined goals, grow people, define the strategy and strive for increasing value.
Your main responsibilities Define the group document and records strategy and lead its implementation.
Build strong network with partners across Business Units, Group Functions, Legal & Compliance and other divisions within Group Digital & Technology.
Enable Swiss Re business in strengthening awareness and ownership about the topic.
Prioritize work with an emphasis on risk, cost and business impact.
Own relevant Swiss Re standards and ensure their implementation including internal auditable controls and review processes.
Define an effective set-up that enables building a compliant and efficient practice.
In collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, define the target architecture and own the implementation.
Maintain own knowledge at 'outstanding' level through learning and continuous improvement.
Stay on top of relevant (regulatory) developments & innovations.
Provide feedback and mentoring to team members to build and advance relevant knowledge and impact.
Develop learning journeys for team members, check in regularly to review progress and build out access to training material (internal & external).
About the Team The enterprise document and records management team is responsible for advancing all aspects around records, non-records in physical and electronic form.
The team ensures compliance with internal and external requirements and aims at maximizing business impact.
The team runs the tools and platforms, owns group-wide standards and guidelines, supervises the Swiss Re wide records management practice, providing standard methodologies on records management and offers advisory services to colleagues in all business and group functions.
The team is also responsible for the 2nd line of defense to assess the compliance with standards and regulations and provide mentorship to other teams.
We are happy to meet you if you Successfully completed a university degree in engineering, technology management or similar.
Gained relevant professional work experience (10+ years) with a strong focus on records management, document management and its international regulatory frameworks, preferably in financial services / insurance.
Have senior-level experience leading, mentoring, developing people in a global set-up and empowering team members.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills dealing with people and establishing relationships with experts as well as senior leaders.
Have a basic understanding of the reinsurance / insurance business.
Possess solid analytical skills based on hard and soft data.
Like to work customer-centric and independently within a diverse team.
Have a consistent track record of delivering strong results and impact, constantly looking for opportunities to innovate and take thoughtful risks in order to get things done better and faster.
