Description Ethics and Compliance Regional Manager We have an opportunity within the compliance function of Hitachi Europe Limited for an Ethics & Compliance Regional Manager.
This role can be performed from any of Hitachi Europe offices in Europe, including England, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and will work with colleagues globally - we have a One Team approach.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities Supporting the implementation of policies and procedures Promoting a 'speak up' culture and Code of Business Ethics and Conducts Role modelling Hitachi values on an ongoing basis Providing training when appropriate Analysing and reporting the training status Leading/supporting compliance initiatives at Group level Supporting the director of compliance with day-to-day workload and large scale projects Providing guidance to entities on Anti-Bribery and corruption, Conflicts of Interest and Anti-money Laundering risks Collaborating with legal and HR on concerns management process Providing assurance on the health of the compliance program, identifying gaps through effective analysis of the data and supporting the entities to close the gaps Working closely with the compliance team in the development of self-verification program Championing continuous improvement and simplification of internal processes Key Skills and Experience Passionate about E&C; and desire to make a difference Ability to influence (Proven track record to influence members at all levels across the organisation) Work collaboratively and in partnership with stakeholders to engage fully and be a trusted part of the teams supported Lead with confidence (leadership and management experience) Communicate (Orally and written) effectively Experience of working with senior leaders Proactive approach in managing risk Ability to plan, manage and prioritise workload in a busy and time-critical manner Strong awareness and sensitivity to different cultures Experience in the field of Ethics and Compliance Working in an advisory role Advising on key risks such as ABAC, CoI, CAT risk Dealing with concerns management Supporting the implementation of policies and CoC Good understanding of risk management Ability to interpret policies and advise accordingly High standards of analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret the data Fluent in Arabic, Russian, or Chinese language (we'll make this a requirement depending on the region) Highly Desirable Skills Knowledge of Audit, business integrity and investigation Understanding of internal investigations and employee concerns program Travel Minimum travel is required - negotiable.
