The Role of Commis Pastry: The Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a Commis Pastry to join our pre-opening team. The Commis Pastry is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Commis Pastry prepares guests' dessert orders from all outlets in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Prepare pastry items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mise en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service. Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including food processor, mixer, and oven. Maintain a clean and efficient station. Manage and prioritize tasks by shift with the help of the Pastry Cook. Our Ideal Commis Pastry will have: Excellent teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask. A minimum of culinary experience and basic knowledge of kitchen tools and culinary operations. Proficient knife skills. Continuous standing for up to 8 hours per shift and the ability to lift up to 30Kg. A flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is preferred, and Spanish is required. Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in Spanish.
