DevOps Engineers are IT professionals who collaborate with software developers to manage code releases and operate and monitor the health of applications. DevOps Engineers design and implement solutions to a utomate code release. They make change s to the AWS architecture for two main purposes : to enhance the platform to use new AWS functionalities and to provision new architecture for new projects that s olutions a rchitects design. DevOps engineers implement changes to the AWS platform in an automated fashion using infrastructure-as-code ( IaC ) and configuration management technology. They deploy new services and up dat e and complete fixes in the production environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and independent team of engineers and other areas such as Architecture, QA, Product Management and Delivery to design and develop advanced capabilities. DevOps Engineer candidates should have the following skills Creating cloud- based infrastructure required by the s oftware team in AWS. Creating and maintaining scripts to activate and deactivate instances on demand. Maintaining security compliances like passwords, key rotation policies. Providing direct support during various operations such as deployment and general production. Collaborating with developers to e nsure that new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices Define several types of alerts ( OpsGenie alerts) that monitor system 's health and report any issues if they occur and when they do, the DevOps team takes ownership of the issues and resolves them themselves or at least escalates them to the proper team . Cost savings/ c ost o ptimi s ation is a huge part of their activities. Last but not least , they work with the DEV/STE team to deploy new software releases in the cloud. Specific experience and knowledge Strong background in system automation and Linux administrat ion. Experience of three- layers architectures: web (Apache), engine (tomcat/spring) and database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, ORACLE , and NoSQL databases ). E xperience in source code tools , continuous integration tools and team management tools. Understanding of cloud computing concepts and design considerations using modern patterns such as infrastructure as code or ephemeral servers. Experience of monitoring frameworks (such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, or similar) . Expertise in container technologies including ECS, EKS, Fargate , Docker, or Kubernetes. Solid DevOps orchestration experience on Ia C (CloudFormation) , AWS CLI K nowledge of configuration management systems, such as Ansible, or related systems.
